I am running for State Senate to replace Sen. Michelle Fischbach who is retiring to become the full-time Lt. Governor. I was first elected to the House District 13A in 2012 and relected in 2014 and 2016, receiving 66% of the vote in my last election. I want to make sure that the voices of our great community are heard at the Capitol. We need to remind the legislators in St. Paul that local common sense governance, not state-wide mandates, is the way to make Minnesota a better place to raise our families.
I have served on the Rockville City Council. I know how the legislative processes work and can use those skills at the Capitol to ensure my constituents needs are met.
With Senator Michelle Fischbach assuming the role of Lt. Governor, there will be an election to replace her in November. I am honored to have her support as I step forward to run for the Senate. Michelle has been a great Senator for our area and a mentor and friend to me --we will miss her leadership here in Stearns and Benton Counties. My whole career has been about service. Today I am taking the knowledge and experience gained in the Minnesota House to a broader level of service in the Senate. I look forward to meeting the voters of Senate District 13 this summer and fall. Please call me with any questions or if you want to join our team.
